The Adventures of Mr Norbert Waggles - Part 5

10 May 2018 - Well, it finally happened! My caregivers are married! I was on hand for part of the celebration with Bauer the Chocolate Lab. He is a very cantankerous foodie and we have had some great conversations, but his politics are very different from mine, so he is challenging to say the least. After Ove’s surgery and other internal struggles, the two of them were pretty happy to finally get the day over with and I am very happy that they are happy. I mean, they did take me in and give me an incredible job in the household. When I look at their relationship, I was there for the engagement and thereafter. Having not seen the time before that, I can’t speak to the full arch that led to this day, but I have seen enough. They complement one another so well. She is anxiety-ridden, overly-honest, often over-bearing, but caring, funny, and socially responsible. She loves dog-kind perhaps more than her own kind and she is fiercely loyal and forgiving. He is meticulous, dry, fickle, and uncommunicative, but he is also strong-willed, loyal, a good listener and friend. His creativity knows no bounds and he is charitable. Between the two of them, they make at least one fully-functioning adult human. I’m just glad they remember to feed me.
