Stephanie + Eric - Hillside Country Club
Maybe it’s because this is our first wedding of 2021 and I am just overcome with excitement to be starting the season and having weddings return to normal, or maybe it’s just because Stephanie and Eric are freaking awesome, but either way, this was the best way to start our 2021 season!
Stephanie and Eric met years ago on Facebook of all places. Stephanie noticed Eric when she saw him as a friend suggestion and thought, hey he is cute. They ended up having a few friends in common but had never actually met. That didn't stop her from sending a friend request. From there, they like to say “it went down in the DMs”. They started messaging, talking, and learning more about each other and how much they had in common.
On January 13, 2019, Eric made plans for the two of them to watch the Patriots game at Stephanie’s sister’s house. Her family and his mother were going over to watch the game. Stephanie was freaking out all morning because she was in charge of wings and buffalo dip and wanted to finish cooking before the game started. She says she remembers Eric acting super weird that day and he just kept staring at her without helping her lol. When they got to her sister’s house, it all just seemed normal. During half time, Stephanie’s dad called her to sit next to him and talk about her daily life since he goes away on business trips. She then heard Eric call out her name and as she turned around, he was holding a sign that read, “Keep calm, even if we don’t win, you still get the ring”. She had to read the sign twice to realize what was happening. In Eric’s speech, he told her the process he had to go through in getting the ring. Trying to coordinate everything behind her back and trying to cover up his mistakes. (For example, the kay jewelers letter in the mailbox that she saw hehehe) To the ring not being ready on time for his proposal. Eric then took out a ring pop and got on one knee. It was the perfect proposal to their love story.
Stephanie and Eric have a love that runs deep. They are each other's biggest fans and number one supporters. They waited a whole extra year to get married due to Covid and I am so happy they were finally able to say “ I do” in front of their families and friends. This wedding also might go down as the wedding of the year for Best Dancing!
